Ishita Chakraborty

Lyrics of Loss and Longing

From the first set of applications that we received, we have chosen Ishita Chakraborty’s project, ‘Lyrics of Loss and Longing’. Interspersed with poetry, this exhibition will include drawings and sculptures that draw from the artist’s research, conversation and personal experience of movement. Her technique of drawing that traces sporadic and nebulous movement with scratches on paper becomes a poetic contemplation on movement away from home.
